Martin Ontiveros and Donovan Crosby :: Risen

sixspace will begin its 2004 exhibition schedule with Risen: Tales of Golems and Voodoo with Martin Ontiveros and Donovan Crosby. Both of these artists will present new paintings that explore the themes in differing folklores. Through depicting his signatures style robots, Ontiveros’ work deals with the Jewish legend of Golem, an automaton created to do man’s tasks. Crosby will exhibit works based on the haunting tales of voodoo and magic that includes zombies, spells, and damned souls. Continue reading >>
